Lithe & Easy Yoga offers Yoga Teacher Training through our
sister program – The
A
variety of teacher-training & professional-development choices are
presented, including one & two-year Yoga Teacher Certification with Apprenticeship.
Creative
combinations of training programs can be fashioned to harmonize with your
lifestyle & responsibilities.
Whatever
your preference, you will be closely guided & accommodations will be made
to support your schedule and your level of experience.

~ Under the
direction of Virginia Williamson –
This is a classical teaching
approach, firmly rooted in the teachings of Patanjali
as specified in the Yoga Sutras & strongly connected to the
teachings of Sri T. Krishnamacharya, the source of
the Ashtanga Vinyasa, Viniyoga, Iyengar & other
contemporary methods.
The 2 year Apprenticeship
Training includes 4
Apprenticeship Months, attendance in all Study Sessions & monthly
supervisory meetings.
The 1 year Apprenticeship
Training includes 4 Yoga
Camps, 1 Apprenticeship Month, attendance in 6 Study Sessions & monthly
supervisory meetings.
For certification, you will be expected to
fulfill a specific number of hours in these categories:
Techniques, Teaching Methods, Anatomy & Physiology (physical
& energetic), Yogic Philosophy, Electives & Practicum.
You will observe
& assist an experienced instructor & ‘practice-teach’ with & without supervision.
A Certificate
of Completion will be awarded when requirements are satisfactorily
fulfilled.
Non-certification Options:
Study Sessions

Yoga Camps
$100 - $150
Offered periodically
throughout the year.

Apprenticeship Months
$275 per Apprenticeship Month
Previous Yoga experience is required for these Apprenticeship
Months.
All Study & Apprenticeship
opportunities may be taken by current teachers, potential teachers &
students who have no intention of teaching, but wish to deepen their
understanding & practice of Yoga.
Apprenticeship Essentials:
This is a commitment for one
entire month at a time.
-Required attendance in all of your director’s classes,
workshops &/or clinics;
-Developing
a Self-Practice
-Required reading & study assignments, including quizzes;
-Observing
& assisting in some classes;
-Supervisory/Discussion Sessions (1-2 per week);
Note: For certification
candidates, it is expected that home-study will continue between Apprenticeship
Months.
Additional Costs
Classes:
Study Sessions are included in the cost of your Certification Training
Programs.
Yoga Camps are included in the One-Year
Certification Program & are discounted for students in the Two-Year
Certification Program.
Between
Apprenticeship Months, students in the Teacher Training Program are required to attend at least one asana
class per week with their director. This is an additional cost.
